The Twisted Track Brewpub thrives to be a destination for the whole valley and beyond; the premier brewery in the Roanoke Valley, brewing everything from traditional European ales to American IPAs , stouts and sours, while specializing in lagers. The aim is to add a new twist to the existing craft beer scene and to serve and nurture our wonderful community – our home.

In addition to hand crafted beer, we offer pub fare with yet another twist and a selection of wines, ciders and soft drinks – something for everyone.

Twisted Track Brewpub Beginnings

The story of Twisted Track starts in 2007 when head brewer Will Landry first started homebrewing and working on a business plan for a brewpub in Roanoke. When presented to a business advisor he was laughed at. ``No one will buy into this. There's no market in Roanoke for craft beer.`` Unfortunately, nothing ever came from that first effort, but as we've seen we were just about 3 years ahead of our time. Will went to professional brewing school at the American Brewers Guild and shortly after met the owners of what would become Chaos Mountain Brewing. Will worked there for 4 years before leaving but the itch to brew never left.

In 2018, he met Rudy Lyon a rising craft brewer who is an active member of the local homebrewer’s guild, winning many awards for his flavorful beers. In January of 2019, John Hines and Toby Hagedorn joined the team, being introduced through The Business of Brewing seminar, here in Roanoke. Call it karma or destiny but this weeklong seminar intertwined our paths and changes our lives drastically.

By the end of 2019 the team had found a location and plans for renovations were underway. Twisted Track Brewpub opened to patrons in November 2020 in the former Soaring Ridge Brewery space at 523 Shenandoah Ave. NW in Roanoke, Virginia with new equipment, a new kitchen space, and completely renovated outdoor area.
