A nod to Oliver Twist and Co., the Artful Hopper is an English IPA brewed to represent the classic brew that would have arrived in India. While the specifics of the style are still debated, this brew has more specialty malt than your more familiar West Coast IPA, with European hops for bittering and flavor. After fermentation, we add some oak and age the ale as the original beer would have been shipped in barrels to its destination. A balanced beer with a slight edge toward bitterness, this will pair nicely with most menu items, but our favorite would be fish ‘n chips. Look for this as our cask offering for the truest representation.
